Originating from Charlottesville, Virginia, U.S, in the early 90’s the Dave Matthews Band gained a reputation and following for their music by gigging around the Virginia area of America. Their unique style of music and their natural jamming as a band led to a strong word-of-mouth hype about them, spreading the news of their music quickly. In 1994 the band released their debut studio album, ‘Under the Table and Dreaming’. Tracks such as ‘What Would You Say’ showcased their skills as both musicians and listeners, how they appreciated the blends and differences music can create. DMB use various instruments, such as harmonicas, saxophones, guitars and violins, in their music to create a fusion of sounds, and create strong phrases and chords. This can be heard on their big-hit track ‘Crash into Me’, the song’s opening chords always giving a punch to the listener’s ears. DMB are also renowned for their jamming as a band, and their track, ‘#41’ is a brilliant example of this, Dave vocally smashing the chorus with a violin interlude followed by flute and sax solos. ‘#41’ is a masterpiece, transcending the form of music. Experience the Dave Matthew’s Band jamming live for yourself and book your tickets before it is too late.
