If you speak to anyone who is a music junkie, chances are they would have heard great things about the Alpine Valley Music Theatre. And 2024 was one of the greatest years to date. The huge 30,000-capacity venue has been entertaining audiences since the seventies and shows no signs of slowing down! Boasting a 7,500-seat pavilion and a lush sprawling green, the theater is known for its world class roster of talent.

Every year, the Alpine Valley Music Theatre welcomes hundreds of thousands of fans to experience their favorite artists live, up close and personal. This top notch venue hasn’t only stunned local Wisconsinites, but has long been considered one of the best live performance venues in the world. Alpine Valley Music Theatre has played host to top notch concerts and music festivals, including Family Values Tour, Furthur Festival, H.O.R.D.E. Festival, Lollapalooza, Monsters of Rock Festival, Ozzfest, PJ20 Festival, Projekt Revolution, Tibetan Freedom Concert and World Series of Rock Festival. Aerosmith performed in its inaugural season (and 13 more times!!), meanwhile past artists have included Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, and many many more!

Dave Matthews Band returned to the stage this summer season and it was arguably their best show to date! Playing to a packed out audience from June 21 – 22, the GRAMMY Award-winning band wreaked havoc. They carefully curated a set list from their impressive Billboard 200-topping discography, playing everything from the multi-platinum Under the Table and Dreaming debut album to 2023’s Walk Around the Moon. Audiences rocked out to the riveting live performances of Triple AAA classics like “Crash into Me,” “Satellite,” and “The Space Between.” “Matthews sounds incredible. His voice is strong, husky at times, but never wavering. The band, too, is impeccable: Their energy radiates from the stage, infecting the crowd with their buoyancy and flair,” raves an attendee.

July was equally as amazing, welcoming trending country star Noah Kahan and putting on a 3 day rager with the progressive rock quartet Phish. On July 13, Noah Kahan swept the audience away with his revered We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour. The folk-pop superstar hit the road and left the quaint corners of New England to put on the event of the year! With Noah Kahan’s breakthrough album, Stick Season, catapulting him to the top of the Billboard 200 charts, it comes as no surprise that the Alpine Valley Music Theatre was overflowing with thousands of excited fans. Noah Kahan is the icon behind smash hits “Dial Drunk,” “Northern Attitude,” and “False Confidence,” and for this star-studded show he delivered his expanded third album. Meanwhile, jam bands and progressive rock fanatics joined together on July 26 – 28 to rock out to Phish’s extended jams, unreal segues, and awesome on-stage improvisations! For this three night rager, the four piece shook the Alpine Valley Music Theatre to its core with career-spanning hits like “Fuego,” “Halley’s Comet,” “Drift While You’re Sleeping,” “Ghost,” and many more!

August welcomed Hootie and The Blowfish, Jason Aldean, and The Avett Brothers. The alternative rock icon Hootie and the Blowfish made their phenomenal return to the stage on August 10. This was the band’s second major outing since their reunion back in 2018. For this show, Hootie and the Blowfish pulled out all the stops, playing to the very back of the crowd and featuring an all-star guestlist, including Collective Soul and Edwin McCain! Jason Aldean landed at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre on August 17, and people are still raving about his performance now! Jason Aldean kept the country rodeo running on stage as he absolutely stunned audiences during this major date on his Highway Desperado Tour. To make the show extra special, he got together with Chase Matthew, Austin Snell, and Dee Jay Silver. This all-out country bonanza brought Jason Aldean’s newest album, Highway Desperado, to life. The Grammy-nominee star sang his heart out from start to finish, with a setlist including his iconic single Try That in Small Town, which peaked on the Hot 100 and reached the coveted No. 1 spot on Country Radio. Meanwhile, the highly acclaimed folk powerhouse, The Avett Brothers, delivered a sensational summer show like no other. Led by the talented Seth and Scott Avett, the North Carolina-born quintet won over the crowd with career-spanning hits, fan favorites, and sensational covers!

Fred Again arrived at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in September for a legendary show that lasted for two unforgettable days, from the 28th until the 29th. Not long after Fred Again’s breakthrough nomination into the Grammy Awards, the British electronic heavyweight brought his killer new album, Ten Days, to the stage. And it was epic. With a roster of talent like that, 2024 has set the bar high! This year’s calendar of events saw fans from all over the world vibe out to their favorite artists. “I just got back from my first visit to Alpine Valley Music Theatre. I had an AMAZING time at the concert and I plan to be back to see another one,” praised one attendee. “I attended the Sunday Phish show in July of 2024. To ALL the staff at Alpine Valley, THANK YOU for making it a magical night,” raved another.
